<h2>Who holds the bell</h2>
|
|||

|
<p>I teach in American Fork, under the Wasatch. Mornings start with a starter jar and a lesson plan; evenings sometimes end on a community-theater stage or a youth-soccer sideline. The foothills change color on a schedule more honest than any pacing guide, which is why I use them as a metaphor and not as decoration.</p>
|
|||
|
|
<p>Novice teachers I mentor get the same speech I give a restless class: name the mission, shed what can wait, protect the landing. That is not a slogan I invented for the internet. It is how a classroom stays a community instead of a pile of worksheets.</p>
|
|||
|
|
|
|||
|
|
<p class="pull">When the load spikes, we do not add garnish. We load-shed — the way a good computer protects descent, the way dough needs a fold and then a rest.</p>
|
|||
|
|
|

|
|

<p>Apollo 11 launched 16 July 1969 on a Saturn V; the guidance computer’s 1201/1202 alarms were priority discipline, not failure. I cite that because I will not teach a metaphor I cannot source.
