Daily workflow I use for physical verification of stocked SKUs, based on 25 years of logistics experience and actual discrepancy patterns.
A-items are those with annual consumption > 20 % of total value (per our ABC layout). Required count frequency: every 4 weeks per SKU. For today’s run, I captured
| SKU | Bin | On-Hand | Counted | Diff % | Action |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| WH-3291 | B-12 | 847 | 845 | 0.23 % | OK |
| WH-7421 | B-04 | 690 | 688 | 0.29 % | Record variance |
| WH-8033 | C-01 | 203 | 204 | -0.49 % | OK |
B items: count every 8 weeks. C items: count quarterly. Both subject to a tolerance band of 1 %—over that triggers an eight-point verification.
