This calculator applies the ACSM Compendium of Physical Activities metabolic equivalents (METs) for running, adjusted for Houston's seasonal humidity profile. Unlike generic calorie counters, this model accounts for the evaporative cooling penalty you pay when the Gulf air hangs heavy at 85% relative humidity.
