Why every motion is a promise

The hood at ten past seven runs laminar flow — a curtain of HEPA-filtered air moving in one direction only, out toward you. That air keeps the product sterile. The moment I reach across the field, or stir the air with a nervous stab, I break the promise that curtain is making.

I'm the biggest contaminant in the room. So the procedure isn't about me being careful — it's about me being clockwork:

The incubator is my umpire

Every batch I compound gets media-fill tested — the growth medium sits where the drug sat. If it comes back clean after the incubation window, my technique held. If not, I hear about it on the next shift's report.

That clean silence at the end of a run? That's the highest compliment my craft pays. It's the same trust-in-the-process discipline I thread through compliance audits and through mentoring the new techs on our bench — slow hands, sealed edges, no shortcuts.
