The First Slip: A Craftsman's Journey

Every craftsman has a "First Slip." A moment when the plan goes wrong, when the metal warps, the code glitches, the wood splits. But that mistake? That's the beginning of the real learning.

In my shop, I've seen it a thousand times. A weld that doesn't quite line up. A cut that's a millimeter off. And each time, it teaches me something new. How to listen to the metal. How to feel the rhythm of the machine.

"Every mistake is a step closer to mastery."

That's what I want to share here. Not just the perfect pieces, but the mistakes too. Because that's where the real story is.

Check out the other pages on this site for more stories of craftsmanship, from CNC presses to habitat domes. Visit my homepage to see what else I've made.

And remember: every mistake is a step closer to mastery.
